The energy we give out, positive or negative, can really make an impact on someone else’s mood.
Positive energy is contagious. It makes people happy. They turn towards the sun. It makes them feel taller than a sunflower. It gives them that feel-good factor.
You only have to be in the company of some people and they manage to inspire and motivate you.
Their vibe is optimistic, hopeful and upbeat. They are full of purpose, excitement and spirit. They light up the space.
They also make this look effortless like some sort of natural born gift.
But of course it isn’t. Energy is not a DNA thing, it’s something we can learn to put into action.
We can all be energetic when needed. It’s hard won and requires consistent mindful and physical effort.
The reality is, we all have our down days. That’s fine. That’s normal. Even the most energised of people have time when they need to recharge or be re-energised by someone else.
But sometimes we can dwell on a particular issue or a feeling and we feel far from energised. Being around negative people doesn’t help.
If we are lack-lustre and feeling a bit flat then being around others with an energy for life can transform us. It lifts us back up and gives us that pep and zip we need.
Positive energy suppliers are really exporters of happiness. They somehow manage to energise you either with their words or their actions or both.
Supplying energy is an important business and comes with a lot of responsibility. It also comes with a lot of rewards. Giving others energy, no strings attached, is a joy.
There are those that don’t supply energy. Instead, they just take it. They deplete it.
Energy vampires (or de-energisers/mood hoovers) are the one’s to look out for and steer clear of. They suck the energy out of you and they are exhausting to be around. It’s best to avoid these suckers because they’ll sap you dry.
I always deliberately position and associate myself with positive, high energy people because I know their pipeline is going to power me up. In turn, I pass on the same emotional energy to others.
Positive energy suppliers inspire you to be the best human you can be. They encourage you and they empower you. Their energy spreads. They are positive people champions and foster high quality connections and relationships.
That’s why we have to choose our suppliers carefully.
The bottom line is this: if your energy supplier isn’t giving you good, positive fuel for living value, swap suppliers.
